Our Programs
All Peculiar Kids initiatives fall under four major focus areas. Each area is designed to help break the cycle of hardship and financial instability within families.
Volunteers and donations play a vital role in helping us carry out our mission and vision. Together, we empower families to raise confident and successful children.

With the support of the Woodson Center Mini Grants, friends, and our dedicated board members, past and present, we successfully launched Peculiar Kids Liberia in 2024. This launch was made possible through our collaboration with Rosodan and Peniel Academy Schools in Margibi County, Liberia.

Peculiar Kids is registered in the United States. We provide direct programs in Margibi and Montserrado Counties, Liberia, and partner with organizations across the United States.

Teaching Life Skills and Community Services
At Peculiar Kids, we believe true growth goes beyond the classroom. Through our life skills and community service programs, done in local communities, children learn responsibility, compassion, and leadership. These experiences help them discover their purpose, build confidence, and understand the joy of serving others — reflecting God’s love in action.
Developing Kids through Fun with Reading and Sports
The David and June Drevlow Education Fund was created to honor their faith-driven generosity and commitment to helping children grow in knowledge and faith. Their generosity toward our founder has become a ripple effect—touching many lives and inspiring others to give and serve. The photo shows David and June, whose kindness and faith continue to shine through the children and families being helped today. It reminds us that one act of love can truly transform a generation. Through this fund, children are gaining educational opportunities and hope for a brighter future.

Fun with Reading
Our Fun with Reading program is a digital learning project designed to help children discover the joy of reading while building confidence, creativity, and character. Through interactive activities in schools, children are not only improving their literacy skills but also learning about God’s love and purpose for their lives.

Sports Programs
Our Sports Programs encourage children to stay active, build teamwork, and develop discipline. Through sports, children learn valuable life lessons about perseverance, respect, and unity—qualities that help them grow stronger both in body and spirit.

Sustaining our Mission and Empowering Families
We are committed to developing creative and lasting ways to sustain our programs while empowering the families we serve. One key approach is establishing small businesses and work opportunities that provide stable income for parents and older children, helping them gain skills, independence, and confidence.
Through these initiatives, we are building sustainability for families and supporting long-term growth. By equipping children and parents to succeed, we help them thrive with dignity and purpose, positively impacting their communities and creating a brighter future.
Together We Help Children Thrive
At Peculiar Kids, we believe meaningful change happens through collaboration. That’s why we partner with like-minded U.S. organizations, government, schools, and local businesses to create opportunities that empower children and strengthen families.
While our direct programs operate outside the United States, our U.S. partners are essential in sharing best practices and support that make these initiatives possible. In the U.S., Peculiar Kids collaborates with and supports organizations that serve children and families, extending our mission of compassion and empowerment across borders. We have supported The Table on Delk and have identified other groups to continue working with as we strengthen our community partnerships.
